It's Cup Finals day this coming weekend! At 1100 we have the George Mason Memorial Shield, an all-Division 1 clash as Upham play Hedge End Town - fifth against fourth, so it should be a close game. At 1500 we have the uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup final, with two Senior Division teams facing each other, as Bishops Waltham Dynamos, in seventh after a poor recent run, face Locks Heath, currently doing well in second; however, Locks have lost the last two finals, so anything could happen! Please note that the venue for the finals is now AFC Totton. FIXTURES We also have several league games - the situation at the top of both leagues should be much clearer after Saturday. In the Senior Division, Liphook United could clinch the title with four games to spare if they beat bottom club Fleet Spurs at home. The battle for fourth is on after Colden Common's 4-0 win over Liss Athletic in midweek, especially when Liss must travel to fifth-placed Stockbridge this weekend, and Common, now in sixth with games in hand over the other two, travel to Hayling, who also need the points urgently, as they can still be caught by Moneyfields Res, who are second-bottom with games in hand over Hayling. Moneys Res play Hook in another game at the new Cosham facility. Two teams stuck in mid-table play each other at Marsden Road as Paulsgrove take on Whitehill & Bordon. TABLES In Division 1, leaders Hedge End Rangers, already guaranteed a top-two place, play their last game, at home to third-bottom Broughton. Meon Milton can still pip them to the title if they win all their games in hand, and on Saturday they host QK Southampton at the Cockleshell. If Meon win they are also guaranteed a top two place. If they lose and HER win, then HER will be champions. Whiteley Wanderers, in third, travel to Twentyten looking to avenge the 2-1 home defeat by the same team in midweek, but that victory was Twentyten's seventh win in their last ten matches, so they are in fine form. Lyndhurst, second bottom, entertain mid-table Headley United. Written By: Paul Harris Image by: Paul Paxford

In the Senior Division, all three of the teams chasing leaders Infinity are again in action. Second-placed Locks Heath, who won in midweek, are now only two points off the top with two games in hand, and they must travel to Denmead, who also need the points as they are fourth-bottom having played more than the teams below them. TABLES Liphook United also won in midweek and they are still title favourites with seven games still to play and are only six points behind Infinity. They are at home to Hayling, who are in the bottom five. Stockbridge, in fourth, go to Colden Common, whose recent form have enabled them to climb away from the basement area, and the Robins are now being challenged by Liss Athletic, on a great run of form in fifth and only two points behind. RESULTS Liss host Hook who have also been in good nick recently. Two teams who have slipped out of top five contention after recent defeats face each other as Bishops Waltham Dynamos are at home to Paulsgrove. Bottom club Fleet Spurs host third-bottom Sway, who will be looking to break a run of four successive defeats and move away from the danger zone. In Division One, leaders Hedge End Rangers play their final game next weekend, so it's another chance for the chasing pack to make some inroads into their lead. We have a big game at the Cockleshell as second-placed Meon Milton, with six wins in a row, host fourth-placed Hedge End Town, whose recent run of one win on six has severely damaged their prospects of catching their rivals. FIXTURES Third-placed Whiteley Wanderers travel to North Hants Intermediate Cup winners Overton United. Upham are only four points off fourth place with a game in hand, and they travel to QK Southampton. Further down the table, Lyndhurst are at home to fourth-bottom Twentyten, and if the home side don't win then they will be confirmed as finishing second-bottom. Third-bottom Broughton play Headley United in an attractive-sounding game with both teams in quite good form. Written By: Paul Harris Image By: Paul Paxford

A full league programme is scheduled for this weekend, and there is a lot to play for! TABLES In the Senior Division, Infinity completed their league programme on Wednesday with a draw against Whitehill & Bordon, and now must wait to see what the three teams behind them can do. All can overtake Infinity if they win their games in hand. Second placed Locks Heath have a trip to bottom side Fleet Spurs, and third place Liphook United, who are best placed with nine games still to play (they won this midweek), face a big A3 derby game at Liss Athletic. Liss' form recently (including an 8-0 win at Bishops Waltham Dynamos last weekend) could take them into the top five if they continue. Fourth-placed Stockbridge, who cannot afford any more slip-ups, face a trip to Sway, who are slipping down the table after three successive defeats. It's tight at the other end of the table, with five teams within two points of that second-bottom position. Third-bottom Harvest, who have games in hand on those around them, face a journey to Bishops Waltham Dynamos, who will be looking for a reaction after two heavy home defeats, and Hayling United are at home to in-form Hook. Fourth-bottom Denmead, who have played more than the rest, are at home to Whitehill & Bordon. Colden Common's win last weekend has taken them a little away from the danger zone, and they will be hoping to keep clear as they face Paulsgrove, who still have a good chance of that fifth spot. FIXTURES In Division One, leaders Hedge End Rangers were in action midweek, winning at rivals Town in the El Hedgio derby game to extend their lead at the top. They do not have a game this weekend (only one to play now), meaning that the teams in pursuit have a chance to catch up on them. Second placed Meon Milton have a trip to second-bottom Lyndhurst this weekend. Third-placed Whiteley Wanderers also do not have a game. Hedge End Town, in fourth, have not won in four now, and are losing touch with the teams above despite their games in hand - they are at home to AFC Netley. At the other end of the table, two teams looking for points are fourth-bottom Broughton, who travel to out-of-form QK Southampton, and third-bottom Twentyten, whose unbeaten run came to an abrupt halt in midweek; they entertain bottom side Michelmersh and Timsbury. Sixth play eighth at Headley Rec, where Overton United, who have won their last three games, visit a team coming off the back of that 8-3 win at Twentyten. A pretty full league is programme scheduled for this weekend as we start to approach the business end of the season. In the Senior Division, leaders Infinity only have one more game left to play - not this weekend - so the focus is on the teams chasing them, all of them with games in hand. Locks Heath, in second, travel to Sway, whom they beat 4-1 at home a couple of weeks ago. Liphook United, in third, have the most games still to play (eleven, in fact) and one of those is this weekend, a big one at home to fourth placed Stockbridge. In the battle for fifth place, Bishops Waltham Dynamos are a point ahead of Paulsgrove; BW are at home to Liss Athletic, who had a good win at the BOSC on Monday, and the Grove are at home to Hook. who had a good win over BW last week. RESULTS There is a bottom-two clash as Moneyfields Res host Fleet Spurs, who ran Liphook close on Monday, and a bottom-six clash as Colden Common are at home to Hayling United. Harvest are only one place above Moneys, but have several games in hand, they are at home to Whitehill & Bordon. TABLES It's a similar situation in Division One, as leaders Hedge End Rangers have played more than the teams below them, and don't have a game this weekend. The big game is Hedge End Town, who still have the most games to play (eight), at home to second-placed Whiteley Wanderers. The reverse fixture last weekend finished 3-2 to Whiteley, and another close game is in prospect. Meon Milton are in third, and entertain Headley United, who beat the leaders last time out. FIXTURES At the bottom, last-placed Michelmersh & Timsbury host Overton United, who have won their last two, and Broughton host Twentyten, both sides in decent form despite still being in the bottom four. In middle of the table, AFC Netley host QK Southampton. The visitors have lost their last five, conceding 23 goals, including a seven-goal defeat at Upham on Monday. Easter weekend brings nearly a full programme of league games on Saturday and there are several more scheduled for Monday. TABLES On Saturday, leaders Infinity, after their loss at Locks Heath in midweek, look to increase their lead at the top of the Senior Division as they travel to Hook. Their main challengers, Liphook United, with those many games in hand, are at Sway. We have another top four clash at Locks Heath Rec, where Stockbridge are the visitors. Sixth play seventh as it's a battle of the long names as Bishops Waltham Dynamos host Whitehill & Bordon. It's still very tight in the lower reaches of the table, and two of the teams who are now in the bottom five meet at Front Lawn, Denmead being the designated home team against co-habitants Harvest. Colden Common could actually rise to ninth if results went their way and they beat bottom side Fleet Spurs, who had a good draw at Liss last weekend, at Oakwood Park. FIXTURES On Monday Liphook play one of their games in hand on the leaders as they travel to Fleet Spurs. Stockbridge entertain Paulsgrove in a top 5 battle, and the other three games are between teams in the congested mid/lower mid table area, with Colden Common at home to Denmead, Bishops Waltham Dynamos playing at Hook, and there is a local derby at the BOSC as Whitehill & Bordon play Liss Athletic. On Saturday, we also have the other Aldershot Intermediate Cup semi-final as Liss Athletic travel to Hartley Wintney Dev, hoping to set up a derby final with Liphook United, who won the other semi-final last week. RESULTS In Division One, on Saturday, leaders Hedge End Rangers face a tricky task at Headley United. Meon Milton, in second, are seven points behind with two games in hand and also have a difficult game at fifth-placed Upham. The big game is at the Oasis where third placed Whiteley Wanderers are at hime to fourth placed Hedge End Town, who are 14 points behind the leaders with six games in hand. The bottom three are all in action - third-bottom Twentyten are at home to QK Southampton, whom they beat at the Hive last weekend, second-bottom Lyndhurst have a difficult trip to AFC Netley, so do bottom club Michelmersh & Timsbury who are at Overton United. On Monday fourth-bottom Broughton travel to AFC Netley, and Upham play QK Southampton. Written By: Paul Harris Image by: Paul Paxford

We have several Senior Division matches scheduled for this weekend, but the top three are not in league action (Infinity played Liphook in the battle of the top two on Wednesday). Locks Heath, in fourth, could therefore move up a place if they beat mid-table Sway at home. The focus is more on the lower half of the table, where only six points separate eighth from fifteenth, and some of them play each other - Hayling United host Harvest and Hook host Colden Common, currently in that fifteenth spot. TABLES Also in that group are Liss Athletic, who travel to bottom club Fleet Spurs, having beaten them 9-0 at home last weekend, and Denmead, who entertain seventh-placed Bishops Waltham Swifts. Moneyfields Res moved out of the bottom two thanks to a midweek draw with Locks Heath, and play fifth-placed Paulsgrove at Marsden Road this weekend. We also have an all Senior-Division Aldershot Intermediate Cup semi-final, with Liphook United (another semi-final for them) hosting Whitehill & Bordon. FIXTURES RESULTS In Division One, leaders Hedge End Rangers are not in action, so Meon Milton, in second, could reduce their lead to seven points if they win at Broughton, but that won't be easy, as both Hedge End teams have lost there recently. Third-placed Whiteley Wanderers, only a point behind Meon, host bottom club Michelmersh & Timsbury. Sixth play fifth as Headley United are at home to Upham. Third-bottom Twentyten, after their big win last weekend, face a difficult trip to QK Southampton, and Overton United play AFC Netley, the clubs separated by one place, but by six points, in the table. Weather permitting, we have the second uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup semi-final this coming weekend as Liphook United, whose chances of a treble disappeared last weekend. host Locks Heath. The winners will play Bishops Waltham Dynamos in the final. TABLES In the Senior Division, leaders Infinity need to keep winning to boost their chances of being the highest-ranked promotion candidate, and they have a tricky-looking tie at unpredictable Harvest. Third-placed Stockbridge can still overtake Infinity if they win all their games in hand, and this weekend they must travel to Colden Common, who are third-bottom, and urgently need the points themselves. At the bottom, Fleet Spurs, fresh from their second league win of the season last time out, travel to Liss Athletic, only three places, but 17 points, above them. Another big basement battle sees second-bottom Moneyfields Res take on Denmead, who have fallen to fifth from bottom after three successive league defeats. Remarkably, five teams are tied on 29 points in positions 5-9. Sway are currently fifth on goal difference, and have a difficult task at Bishops Waltham Dynamos, who are eighth, and are in good form. Sixth-placed Paulsgrove will hope to put that defeat to Fleet Spurs behind them as they travel to Hayling United in ninth, who have lost three in a row. Seventh-placed Whitehill & Bordon host Hook, who will be looking for their third successive win. FIXTURES In Division One, match of the day is at Oasis Mayfield as third-placed Whiteley Wanderers play leaders Hedge End Rangers. Hedge End Town, now in two cup finals, have a number of games to catch up on, and they travel to fourth-bottom Broughton. Bottom club Twentyten are at home to Lyndhurst, only two places and two points above them, in a vital game at the other end of the table. QK Southampton and Upham, currently in fifth and sixth, have home games against out-of-form Headley United and second-bottom Michelmersh & Timsbury (who won last weekend) respectively. There is also another match in the North Hants Intermediate Cup as Overton United host North Waltham U23. RESULTS Written By: Paul Harris Photos By: Paul Paxford

If pitches have dried out enough.... It's Hampshire Saturday Trophy semi-finals day, and three of our clubs are involved. Senior Division favourites Liphook United have a difficult away tie against giantkillers Winsor United Green, who have beaten three HPFL clubs already this season. TABLES The other tie sees Senior Division Harvest, who can beat anyone on their day, play Hedge End Town, who are near the top of Division One, and who are also in the final of the George Mason Memorial Shield. The final will be held at AFC Stoneham on the evening of Saturday 6th April. There is another semi-final scheduled, the second George Mason Memorial Shield semi-final, postponed last weekend, which sees Stockbridge try again with their home tie against Upham. FIXTURES There are also several league games scheduled. In the Senior Division, a lot of the focus will be on the lower half of the table, where it's still extremely tight. Liss Athletic have sunk to third from bottom and face a tricky visit to Hayling United. Colden Common, who won last time out, are just above them and travel to Sway, who are only three points ahead of them. Common are in turn just below Hook, who are in reasonable form, and they host Denmead. Bottom club Fleet Spurs travel to fifth-placed Paulsgrove. Locks Heath are just above the Grove in fourth, and have a trip to Whitehill & Bordon. RESULTS In Division One, leaders Hedge End Rangers have a difficult-looking task at QK Southampton, who have risen to fifth and are on a good run. Meon Milton, in second, have a trip to Lyndhurst. Whiteley Wanderers are in fourth and could improve on that if they win at Headley United. AFC Netley could challenge the top five if they win at bottom club Michelmersh & Timsbury. Finally, there is another cup game between two Division 1 sides as Broughton entertain Twentyten in the North Hampshire Intermediate Cup. Written by: Paul Harris Photo by: Paul Paxford

Weather permitting, again we have one cup match, and a pretty full programme of league matches scheduled. The second semi-final in the George Mason Memorial Shield is due to be played at Stockbridge, where the Senior division hosts take on Division One Upham, who reached the final last year. The winners will play Hedge End Town in the final. FIXTURES In the Senior Division, all eyes will be on the encounter at Liphook where the second-placed hosts play leaders Infinity. Liphook are eleven points behind but have eight games in hand, however they have not applied for promotion. With Stockbridge ln cup action, fourth placed Locks Heath could move to within three points of them if they beat Denmead at home. Locks won last time out after a poor run. Two of three teams on the same number of points just below Locks are on good runs, but face tricky away games - fifth-placed Paulsgrove are at Sway, and Bishops Waltham Dynamos are at Hook. The bottom three are all in action, and will be hoping to pick up points from teams not far above them - Fleet Spurs, who are sixteen points adrift in last place, are at home to Liss Athletic, Moneyfields Res face the unpredictable Harvest at Cowplain 4G, and Colden Common travel to Whitehill & Bordon. TABLES In Division 1, after their derby victory last weekend, leaders Hedge End Rangers have another home game, this time against Overton United. Meon Milton, in second, are now four points behind Rangers, and they travel to second-bottom Twentyten at Winklebury. Whiteley Wanderers, in third, go to out-of-form Headley United (five defeats in a row), who lost 2-3 to Whiteley in the reverse fixture recently. RESULTS Fourth-placed Hedge End Town, with games in hand on teams above them, host bottom-placed Michelmersh & Timsbury. Third-bottom play fourth-bottom at Wellands Road as Lyndhurst, who have won their last two games, entertain Broughton. QK Southampton, who have now risen to fifth, play AFC Netley, only a point behind them. Written By: Paul Harris Image: Paul Paxford
