EQUALITY POLICY

Hampshire Premier Football League Equality Policy


Football is an inclusive team game and any person, at any level, who discriminates (treats someone differently because of one of the following factors) will be dealt with, by the League and/or The F.A. following the Equality Act 2010 legislation.


(Age, gender, gender re-assignment, sexual orientation, marital status or civil partnership, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability, pregnancy or maternity) 


The Hampshire Premier Football League is an Intermediate competition affiliated to The Hampshire Football Association, and a Regional NLS Feeder League, promoting into Step 6 of the National League System. It provides competitive football for clubs located in Hampshire.


The ownership and management of the League's Equality policy lies with the Management Committee and will be enforced by its Officers.


Equality issues and any related matters will be on the agenda at every Board meeting and AGM of the League.


The League will provide information and education to raise the level of awareness at the Management Committee and through Club Chairs and Secretaries.


The League aims to be family friendly offering sporting competition and entertainment at an affordable level.


Community involvement is at the heart of the League's intentions.
