WEEKEND PREVIEW - JANUARY 18
Hopefully the weather will be better this weekend, as several of our teams try to play rescheduled Hampshire Saturday Trophy matches.
There is one third round game outstanding as Stockbridge entertain IOW side Vectis, who are in the lower half of their table.
In the fourth round unbeaten IOW top dogs Whitecroft & Barton have another go at playing their game at Hook, who are doing well in our Senior Division, of course.
Crofton Saints host an unknown quantity in US Portsmouth Res. There are two all-HPFL ties - one involves two Senior Division teams in decent form, Harvest playing leaders Colden Common, and the other one pits Division One Headley United against Andover Town.
Plenty of league games too - in the Senior Division, the big game is at Locks Heath Rec as the second-placed hosts, who beat Wessex League Romsey Town to reach the semi-finals of the Russell Cotes Cup in midweek, play third-placed Bishops Waltham Dynamos.
Hedge End Rangers, in sixth, will be looking for their fourth win in a row as they travel to Denmead. Three of the bottom four are in action, and will be looking to catch up on teams above them; second-bottom Sway will be looking to build on two recent draws as they go to fourth-bottom Whitehill and Bordon, and third-last Moneyfields Res host Liss Athletic, whose good run was ended last weekend at Hedge End.
Two teams in mid-table play each other, Liphook United are at home to Meon Milton.
In Division One leaders Broughton have a tricky-looking trip to Rushmoor Community. Hedge End Town moved into second last weekend and are at QK Southampton, who are unbeaten in three, including a win over Upham last Saturday. Overton are three points behind HET with two games in hand and have an interesting-looking home game against Hayling United, who are in good form.
AFC Netley, in sixth, are five games unbeaten and make the trip to face third-bottom Whiteley Wanderers. There is a bottom-four clash as Twentyten host Mob Albion, a team they beat 4-2 away last weekend. Upham are still in fifth and will look to get back on track after last weekend's defeat as they play Silchester Village, who also conceded four last weekend.
