We have a busy Bank Holiday weekend of matches in both divisions. Although both champions are known, there is still a lot to play for in both leagues. In the Senior Division, champions Locks Heath have two tricky trips planned for the weekend - at Liss Athletic on Saturday, and at Bishops Waltham Dynamos on Monday. Second-placed Hedge End Rangers finish their programme, which could be their last match in the HPFL, as they are hoping for promotion to the Wessex, with a home game against Moneyfields Res, a replay of the one abandoned due to localised fog earlier in the season. If Rangers win, they will clinch second spot, but if they slip up, they can still be overtaken by either Crofton Saints, in third, or by AFC Shirley, who are in fourth, and on a run of five wins in a row. Intriguingly, these two meet on Saturday. at Mansel Park. On Monday Shirley host Southsea Sports, and Crofton travel to Broughton. Midweek results mean that Hook now have a top five spot; they are at Southsea on Saturday. On Saturday there is a bottom five clash as Meon Milton will be looking to build on their good win in midweek when they host third-bottom Liphook United. A point for Liphook would mean they are officially clear of the bottom two. The bottom two meet on Saturday, Stockbridge host Andover Town knowing that a draw will confirm the visitors in last place. Both are also in action on Monday; Stockbridge are at home to Moneyfields Res and Andover travel to Liss.. In Division One, champions AFC Netley conclude their programme this weekend with two home games against the bottom two; Paulsgrove on Saturday, Mob Albion on Monday. Third-placed BTC Southampton also have two home games over the weekend against opposition in the bottom half of the table (Sway on Saturday, Hayling United on Monday) and can clinch third spot if they gain two points f rom those games. The battle for the remaining top five places continues to be close and Silchester Village, who play at Mob Albion on Saturday, and Nursling & Shirley, at home to Hedge End Town on Monday, can pretty much wrap up a top five spot with wins. Please check Full Time and clubs' social media if you are planning to attend a game! The Hog Post will be delayed so that the long weekend's games are all covered, so it will probably appear on Tue/Wed next week.

We have a pretty full programme of league matches this weekend, with some important issues on the line. The Senior Division title could be decided this weekend if Locks Heath obtain at least a point from a potentially tough trip to sixth-placed Denmead, who had a good win in midweek. The only team who can catch them, Crofton Saints, would need to win their remaining games, and hope that Locks lose all of theirs, to pip them. Crofton travel to second-placed Hedge End Rangers on Saturday.in a big game. A win for Rangers would confirm the top five place they need to be eligible for promotion. Hook, currently in third, would clinch a top five place if they won at Broughton, as would League Cup finalists AFC Shiriey, who have won four in a row, and are at home to Meon Milton. Further down the table, defeat for Andover Town,, who travel to Whitehill & Bordon would confirm a bottom two place for the Blues. Victory for Liphook United, who have won their last two, at Southsea Sports, would virtually confirm that they will avoid a bottom two spot. Bishops Waltham Dynamos, who host Moneyfields Res, are still in with a good chance of a top six place. In Division One, the top two places were confirmed in midweek, and it's congratulations to AFC Netley who clinched the title with a superb 6-0 win at top five team Hedge End Rangers, they are not in action this weekend, but second-placed Overton United conclude their programme with a trip to Nursling & Shirley, who need to win as they are involved in an exciting battle for a top four spot. Currently four teams in positions 4-7 are locked together on 37 points, Two other teams in that race also meet this weekend as Silchester Village host Hedge End Rangers. BTC Southampton are well above this group in third with a game or two in hand, and cam move closer to confirming that spot if they win at mid-table Headley United Finally, if Twentyten can beat the team just above them, Rushmoor Community, then they can ensure that they finish above the bottom two, Mob Albion and Paulsgrove.

We have a fairly full set of league games this weekend, with some important encounters, and one of our teams is in a cup final. Leaders Locks Heath need four points from four games to be sure of the Senior Division title, this weekend they travel to last-placed club Andover Town. The only team who can catch them, Crofton Saints, currently in fourth, have a home game against Stockbridge, who are battling to escape the bottom two. AFC Shirley's midweek win was their third in a row and it sees them now level on points with Crofton; they have a home game against Hook, who are only two points above them in third. Teams just above the bottom two will be looking for points against teams in mid-table; Liphook United are at home to Moneyfields Res, and Meon Milton are at Denmead. Bishops Waltham Dynamos could rise to sixth with a win at Liss Athletic. In Division One , the top two were in action in midweek, both winning, so AFC Netley lead Overton United by three points with three to play. This weekend, Netley are not in action so Overton have the chance to go back to the top again, as they have a superior goal difference. They face third-placed BTC Southampton at home; Overton won the reverse fixture 3-1 a couple of weeks ago. If BTC slip up then Hedge End Town could overtake them with a home win against Sway. Silchester Village could go into fifth if they win at Headley United, who haven't won in five now. Nursling & Shirley also have eyes on a top five place and they host Hayling United. An important game lower down the table as second-bottom Mob Albion, who won for the first time in a long time last Saturday, host third-bottom Twentyten, at the moment the visitors are five points ahead having played a game more. Last, but certainly not least, we have a representative in the Aldershot Senior Cup final as Whitehill & Bordon play Abbey Rangers Development. Good luck to them.
