This is a preview for both coming Saturday (26th) and the following midweek (29th-30th) as we reach the tail end of the season. We still have some important games left to play. In the Senior Division both Liss Athletic and Andover Town still have several games remaining and could still finish second or third with a good run. At the weekend Liss are at home in a big local derby at Liphook United. The return fixture is on the following Wednesday. Andover Town are at Denmead, and host Hook on the Tuesday. TABLES Champions Colden Common are at Hedge End Rangers, currently fifth. Fourth-bottom Whitehill & Bordon host Hook on Saturday and travel to Stockbridge on Wednesday. With a good run Bordon could finish mid-table, but they have a tough run-in. RESULTS The match of the day at the weekend is definitely in Division One , as Overton United host Crofton Saints. Anything other than a win for Saints will hand Broughton the title. If Overton win they will clinch second place. If Saints win, then another victory in their final game, at home to Whiteley, would give them the title. FIXTURES Third-bottom Mob Albion host mid-table Rushmoor Community. QK Southampton finish their programme with two home games; on Saturday they are at home to Headley United, on tuesday they play AFC Netley.

This preview will attempt to cover all matches of the ever-crucial Easter weekend, although of course what happens on the Saturday might affect what happens on the following Monday. In the Senior Division, leaders Colden Common require five points (possibly four, thanks to their goal difference) from their remaining four games to clinch the title. On Saturday they have a trip to Denmead. There are two teams who could still catch Common, if they win all of their last six games and Common slip up; Liss Athletic have a tricky trip to Whitehill & Bordon on Saturday, and Andover Town, strangely, have no games over the Easter period. But there is a massive game on Monday as Common host Liss. Defeat for the visitors would see their title chances disappear. TABLE Hook, currently in seventh, are not in great form, but with five games still to play, could also challenge for at least a top five place, but they have some tough games to come; one, on Saturday, is a trip to Locks Heath , who are back in second after a midweek win; and then, on Monday, they host Stockbridge. Liphook United still have six games to play and have a decent chance of finishing as high as ninth, they have two games this long weekend, both at home, where they play Moneyfields Res and then Harvest. RESULTS Whitehill & Bordon have seven games remaining and again could be aiming for that ninth spot, in addition to Saturday's home game against Liss they also welcome Harvest to the Daly on Monday. Paulsgrove play their last game and could climb off the bottom if they beat Stockbridge on Saturday. Sway are currently a point ahead of the Grove with a much better goal difference, but their last game is at Liss on 3rd May. FIXTURES In Division One , Broughton have completed their league games and are guaranteed at least a top two spot. Their last game this season is the North Hampshire Intermediate Cup final against Silchester Village on Tuesday. The only team who can catch them in the league, Crofton Saints, have to win all of their four remaining games to pip them to the title, and have two of those at the weekend; Saturday sees a potentially tough trip to AFC Netley, and on Monday they host QK Southampton. At the bottom, Whiteley Wanderers must win at their last two games by good margins, starting at home to Headley United on Monday, to have any chance of avoiding a bottom two place. Bottom side Twentyten host Hedge End Town, already assured of finishing fourth for the second season running, on Saturday. Written by: Paul Harris Image by: @vi_shooter

Again, another crucial weekend in both of our leagues, with an attempt to make some sense of the permutations: In the Senior Division it's first v second as leaders Colden Common host second-placed Bishops Waltham Dynamos, whose final game this is after an excellent season. However, it is interesting to note that the three teams immediately below Common (positions 2-4) cannot catch them, but either of the two following teams (positions 5-6) still can, if they win all (or most of) their remaining games and Common falter. TABLES Either way, Common need eight points from their remaining five games (seven will probably do due to their goal difference) to be absolutely sure of the title. Of those two teams still in with a chance, fifth-placed Liss Athletic are in good form, six wins in seven in the league, and host mid-table Meon Milton. Andover Town, on a run of five successive league wins, have a difficult game at Hook, who are level on points with them. Locks Heath, currently in third, have a tricky trip to Liphook United, who have won their last two and can reach the top half of the table with a good run as they still have seven games to play. RESULTS Sway could condemn Paulsgrove to bottom place if they win at mid-table Stockbridge, who have just lost four in a row. However, Sway are on a six-match winless run. Fourth-bottom Whitehill & Bordon still have nine games left to play and could reach mid-table with a good run of results. They host Harvest this weekend. In Division One , Broughton must win their last game, at home to improving QK Southampton, and wait on other results to see if they will win the title, although that won't be decided this weekend. FIXTURES Second-placed Overton United, unbeaten in ten, are two points behind Broughton with a game in hand, and have a difficult task at mid-table Rushmoor Community this time out.. In third, Crofton Saints are currently fourteen points behind the leaders but have six games still to play. On Saturday they host third-bottom Mob Albion. Overton play Crofton at the end of April so a win for Broughton tomorrow would guarantee a top two place. Hayling United play Upham at home and only a seven-goal win would move them ahead of Silchester into fifth place. AFC Netley, not playing this weekend, need two big wins to do the same. Headley United still have five games to play and could reach mid table if they win most of them. This weekend they travel to last-placed Twentyten who could still yet overtake Whiteley Wanderers. But Twentyten have lost their last five, some of them heavily. Written by: Paul Harris

By the end of Saturday we should know the identity of the fourth of our cup finalists - the second George Mason Memorial Shield semi-final sees a potential cracker between Liss Athletic and Andover Town, both top seven in the Senior Division with games in hand on those above, both losing last weekend to end decent unbeaten runs. Liss won 1-0 at Andover in the league match at the start of February. The winners play Denmead in the final. In the Senior Division , leaders Colden Common, after a midweek win, are four points clear with games in hand on those below them. They face a quick return to Whitehill & Bordon this weekend, having won there 1-0 only last Saturday in the League Cup. Locks Heath moved back into second in midweek and have a difficult trip to sixth-placed Hook, who have won their last two games after a poor run. Bishops Waltham Dynamos are third and this time travel to mid-table Stockbridge, who haven't won in three games. Hedge End Rangers are fourth from top and host fourth from bottom Moneyfields Res. Liphook United host second-bottom Sway, where they won 2-1 in early February. Sway and Paulsgrove are now assured of finishing in the bottom two places. Denmead host Harvest at Front Lawn in a mid-table clash . If leaders Broughton win their last three games then they will be champions of Division One , regardless of what happens elsewhere. The first game of those three is this Saturday, at home to fourth-bottom Headley United, who beat them 4-1 in the reverse fixture earlier this month. Second-placed Overton United, five league wins on the spin, travel to fifth-bottom Mob Albion. Hedge End Town, in third, have recently had defeats against the current top two, this time they have a tough trip to AFC Netley, who still have chances of a top five place. It was 3-2 to HET in the reverse fixture recently. Crofton Saints, twelve unbeaten in all competitions, are fourth, and with games in hand can still catch the top two - this weekend they host Rushmoor Community, who should give them a good game. Silchester Village's run of eight unbeaten was ended at Broughton on Saturday and they are another club chasing a top five place as they host Upham. Near the bottom there is a massive fixture at the Hive - if third-last QK Southampton beat second-bottom Whiteley Wanderers then they cannot be caught. QK have won their last two games, Whiteley's winless run continues at twelve. Written by: Paul Harris

This Saturday there is a semi-final of the uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup, an interesting Senior Division clash at the BOSC as Whitehill & Bordon host leaders Colden Common. The hosts are third-bottom but have many games still to play thanks to their cup exploits this season. RESULTS The Senior Division sees a chance for teams just below the top two, who are not in league action, to catch up as they all play mid-table sides. Bishops Waltham Dynamos could move into second if they win at home to out-of-form Liphook United. Hedge End Rangers are only two points behind them and travel to unpredictable Stockbridge. TABLES Andover Town are level with Rangers with games in hand and play at Harvest. Liss Athletic have the most games still to play of the chasing teams but have a tough task at the weekend as they are at Hook, who are just below them. Denmead host Meon Milton in a battle of two mid-table sides. In Division One leaders Broughton host sixth-placed Silchester Village, a team they play again in a fortnight. Good news for them is that two of their closest rivals play each other at the Norman Rodaway, it's third versus second as Hedge End Town host Overton United. Crofton Saints are fourth, but have a number of games in hand due to their cup success, and they have an interesting home game against Hayling United, six wins in a row and just a place behind them. FIXTURES At the bottom there is a big game at the Hive as third-last QK Southampton play bottom club Twentyten. Whiteley Wanderers lie between these two and need to start winning as they are running out of games; they are currently on an eleven-match winless run, despite several draws. A trip to Rushmoor Community won't be easy for them. Headley United are currently fourth from last but have games in hand, this weekend they visit an out-of-form, Upham. Written by: Paul Harris

This weekend we have the remaining uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup quarter final, a local derby between Liphook United and Whitehill & Bordon. The winners will host Colden Common. In the Senior Division, leaders Colden Common have an interesting trip to Meon Milton, who, under caretaker management, beat Bishops Waltham Dynamos last weekend. RESULTS Locks Heath, in second, host mid-table Harvest, always capable of a good result, and after their defeat to Meon, Bishops Waltham Dynamos could go back to third if they beat fourth-bottom Moneyfields Res at home. Hedge End Rangers are still fifth and this time out are at home to second-bottom Sway, and Liss Athletic, in sixth and with games in hand - look to get their sixth league win in a row at home to bottom club, Paulsgrove. TABLES Hook will be looking to get back on track after a poor run, as they host Denmead. In Division One, after a good point at Crofton last weekend, leaders Broughton have another tough away assignment, as this weekend they are at third-placed Hedge End Town. Second placed Overton United are at home to out-of-form Upham so could draw to within a point of top spot if results go their way, Crofton will regain fourth place if they win at bottom team Twentyten. FIXTURES Silchester Village are now sixth after a good run - unbeaten in seven - they face an intriguing trip to Headley United, who have won their last two as they look to climb the table with their games in hand. There is an important bottom four clash as Mob Albion entertain Whiteley Wanderers - the visitors seeking a first win in ten. Two teams in mid-table who will be looking to improve after recent poor form meet as Rushmoor Community are at home to AFC Netley. Written by: Paul Harris Image by: @vi_shooter

A weekend with three cup games and a lot of important league games. In the uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup, the quarter-final sees Senior Division leaders Colden Common, unbeaten since mid-Oct in the league, but who lost on penalties in the Hampshire Saturday Trophy last weekend, at home to Hook, who have slipped to mid-table after a run of four defeats in the last five, but who are still dangerous opposition. RESULTS In the George Mason Memorial Shield, the semi-final sees Overton United, going well in third place in Division One, host Denmead of the Senior Division, who had a 9-1 win last weekend. This could be a close one. And in the Aldershot Intermediate Cup, Whitehill & Bordon play Midhurst and Easebourne Res in a bid to set up a meeting with Rushmoor Community in the final. In the Senior Division the top two are not in action, so Bishops Waltham Dynamos could go second with a win at mid-table Meon Milton, not an easy task. There is a big game at the Portway as fifth-placed Andover Town, back in form and with games in hand, are at home to fourth-placed Hedge End Rangers. TABLES The bottom three are all in action as last-placed club Paulsgrove play Liphook United, who are not in great form either, second-bottom Sway travel to Harvest, and third-bottom Moneyfields Res host Stockbridge, who are four games unbeaten in seventh. In Division One, leaders Broughton need to put last week's defeat at Headley behind them as they are at Crofton Saints, in fourth, who have games in hand, going well in the cups, and are ten games unbeaten. FIXTURES Some crucial games for the teams placed fifth to seventh, who all host teams in the bottom three. Hayling United play Whiteley Wanderers, the reverse fixture ended in an exciting 4-3 win for the Humbugs recently; Silchester Village play Twentyten, and AFC Netley play QK Southampton. Just above the bottom three, Headley United, fresh from their win over Broughton, host Mob Albion, who had a vital win at Upham last time out. Upham are firmly mid-table now after just one win in six and are at home to the team just below them, Rushmoor Community, who beat Liphook to reach the ADFA Cup Final last time out. Hopefully the weather will improve and allow us to complete another interesting set of fixtures as things start to hot-up in both the league and cup. In the Hampshire Saturday Trophy we have 'our' semi-final, one that promises a great deal as Division One Crofton Saints, who have had a great debut season, entertain Colden Common, leaders of the Senior Division. The winners will play either Ringwood Town Dev or Tadley Calleva Res in the final at AFC Stoneham on May 13th. FIXTURES We also have an Aldershot Intermediate Cup semi-final, another Senior Division versus Division One clash where Liphook United will have to be on top form as they host Rushmoor Community In the Senior Division the top four are not in league action so the teams just behind them, all of whom have games in hand, could make up ground on them with some good results. Andover Town, in fifth, had been on poor form but have won their last three, and they are at home to fourth-bottom Moneyfields Res. TABLES Liss Athletic are in even better form and travel to second-bottom Sway, who gave Locks Heath a good game last weekend. Stockbridge have also won three in a row after some inconsistent form but face a tricky trip to Meon Milton. Hook have fallen away a bit after a couple of defeats so will be looking to change that at home to third-bottom Whitehill and Bordon. Bottom club Paulsgrove travel to Denmead. In Division One, leaders Broughton travel to third-bottom Headley United, who will need to start capitalising on some of their games in hand soon. Hedge End Town moved back to second last weekend and host a potentially cracking game against in-form AFC Netley, who are in sixth. RESULTS If they don't win then third-placed Overton United will be poised to take advantage as they are home to bottom team Twentyten. Hayling United are another team in form and have risen to fifth, they travel to second-bottom QK Southampton this weekend. Two teams in the bottom five have difficult trips to mid-table sides: Whiteley Wanderers are at Silchester Village, and Mob Albion are at Upham. Written by: Paul Harris

This coming Saturday we have the remaining two uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup quarter-finals scheduled, both all-Senior Division affairs. Leaders Colden Common travel to Hook, in seventh but with games in hand, in what should be a game well worth watching. And in addition we have an appetising local derby as Liphook United host Whitehill & Bordon, both teams in the bottom six after poor runs, but again with games in hand on those above them. TABLES We have one other cup game, a North Hampshire Intermediate Cup semi-final with the top two in Division 1 meeting as Broughton host Overton United, The league game a couple of weeks ago finished 1-1 in what was by all accounts a close game. In the Senior Division Bishops Waltham Dynamos moved up to second last weekend, but this time they have a tricky trip to Stockbridge, who have just won three games in a row. If BW slip up then Locks Heath can overtake them by winning at second-bottom Sway, who haven't won since the end of October but have had a few useful draws recently. In-form Liss Athletic moved in to fifth last Saturday with a big win against Hedge End Rangers, this time they are home to Denmead. Rangers themselves host Meon Milton. FIXTURES At the bottom, Paulsgrove will be looking get that massive defeat at Common last weekend out of their system but they face another difficult game, at home to Andover Town, who have had a couple of wins recently, ending a poor run. Moneyfields Res are currently well clear of the bottom two and will be looking to improve on that as they play Harvest at the JJ. In Division One, with the top two in cup action. the teams behind them will be looking to catch up. Third-placed Hedge End Town will be looking to end a run of three successive defeats as they travel to fourth-bottom Headley United. There is a very good game in prospect as Crofton Saints, in fourth, travel to fifth-placed AFC Netley, both teams in good form. Crofton have played fewer games than those above them so a top two place for them is still very possible. RESULTS Another big game is at the foot of the table where the bottom two clash at Lordshill, hosts QK Southampton are currently only one point ahead of Twentyten but with two games in hand. Just above them, Whiteley Wanderers face a resurgent Hayling United side who reached the top seven last weekend. Mob Albion are above the zone but have played more games than the rest, they therefore need to get something out of a tricky trip to sixth-placed Upham. Two teams who are comfortably mid-table in their first season/return to Division One play each other as Rushmoor Community are at home to Silchester Village. Written by: Paul Harris
