WEEKEND PREVIEW - FEB 18

Feb 15, 2023

The top of the Senior Division saw a few changes last weekend - leaders Andover New Street Swifts are involved in arguably the 'match of the day' as they travel to Locks Heath, a point behind them in second, with two games in hand.

Third-placed Colden Common - with six wins on the spin - could overtake both if they win their games in hand, and they face a difficult game at the vastly-improved Winchester Castle, who themselves have four-in-four.

COMING-UP - FIXTURES

Clanfield, in fourth, on a four-game winning streak, also have a tricky trip to Sway. Stockbridge were at the top recently but have fallen to fifth, but still very much in touch with the teams above them as they are away to Whitehill and Bordon.

Denmead are also still there or thereabouts and they need to win at QK Southampton to continue this, but their opponents are only a point ahead of the bottom two, so cannot afford to slip up.

LEAGUE TABLES

The only way is up for Moneyfields Reserves, with a couple of games in hand on teams above them at the bottom - they face an inconsistent Harvest team who lost 1-7 to a ruthless Liphook United last weekend. Liphook themselves host Hayling United, where fifth-bottom meets fourth-bottom.

Finally, Paulsgrove, who have ten points from their last five matches, and have moved away from the basement, travel to Liss Athletic,

In Division One, leaders Infinity hope to be back in action after last week's postponement when they host Upham.

Hook are only one point behind them, having played a game more, and they travel to Whiteley Wanderers. Third-placed Headley United have a tricky task away at Meon Milton (pictured, in yellow), and just behind them are Hedge End Town, who look to push their challenge with a home game against basement side, Michelmersh and Timsbury.

Twentyten, in fifth, are also looking to put pressure on the teams above if they win at second-bottom Lyndhurst. AFC Netley, with games in hand, will be looking to do the same as they host AFC Petersfield.

The one cup match is in the North Hants Intermediate Cup, where Broughton host Stockbridge U23.
