WEEKEND PREVIEW - DEC 3

Dec 01, 2022

We enter December with several Hampshire Saturday Trophy ties taking place, complimented with the continuing League schedule in both Divisions.

In the Hampshire Trophy, Locks Heath leave the mainland to face Vectis, who are near the bottom of the Isle of Wight First Division.

HAMPSHIRE TROPHY - DRAW

We have two all-Senior Division clashes, with Colden Common (pictured) at home to Whitehill & Bordon, and Liphook United hosting Clanfield.

Our Senior Division sides will also be looking to avoid potential banana skins in facing Division One opposition who are doing well in the league - Moneyfields Reserves travelling to Hedge End Town, while Denmead are also on the road at Hook. Meanwhile, Andover New Street Swifts welcome Sporting Wessex to Foxcotte Park.

Finally, three of our teams make the journey to face reserve sides - Winchester Castle are at Fleet Spurs Res; AFC Netley are at Hartley Wintney Res, and Meon Milton travel to Eversley & California Res.

COMING UP - FIXTURES

The Senior Division sees second-placed Stockbridge away at an improving Sway side, knowing that a draw or better will enable them to go top, with leaders Andover New Street Swifts involved in the cup.

Otherwise the focus is on teams in the lower half of the table - Paulsgrove play at seventh-placed Harvest, bottom club Hayling United are at QK Southampton, and second-bottom Overton host Liss Athletic.

In Division One, leaders Infinity can extend their lead with a home game against AFC Petersfield, who lost heavily at Twentyten last time out.

TABLES

Twentyten themselves travel to Broughton, and there's a battle near the bottom as Whiteley Wanderers are at home to the team directly below them, Lyndhurst. Basement team Michelmersh and Timsbury visit Headley United.
