WEEKEND PREVIEW - NOV 26

Nov 25, 2022

We have a near-full League programme to look forward to this weekend.

The exception comes at West Leigh Park in The George Mason Memorial Shield where Division One's in-form AFC Netley visit Senior Division side, Clanfield.

In the Senior Division itself, it's getting tighter at the top, and Andover New Street Swifts are now leaders only on goal difference. They can afford no slip-ups on their trip to Marsden Road to face Paulsgrove, never an easy fixture.

Second placed Stockbridge will be looking to take maximum points at home to QK Southampton to maintain their charge, while Locks Heath, in third, have a tricky-looking trip to Whitehill & Bordon. Fourth-placed Colden Common also travel, this time to Overton United, and with a game or two in hand on the teams above them, can also put on the pressure with a victory.

FIXTURES

Harvest, who are at home to in-form Sway - and Denmead, who face an away game at Winchester Castle, are not far behind the top group, either. At the other end, Liphook United host Moneyfields Reserves in a proverbial 'six-pointer'.

Bottom side, Hayling United's clash with Liss Athletic was called off on Friday, with the Hayling College pitch waterlogged.

In Division One, new leaders Infinity have a trip to second-bottom Lyndhurst and nearest challengers Hook have a difficult-looking home game against Hedge End Town, who have been only beaten once in the league this season.

TABLES

Fourth-placed Meon Milton will be looking to get back on track with a home game against bottom club Michelmersh and Timsbury.

Below them, Upham face a trip to third-bottom Whiteley Wanderers, and teams in midfield facing each other and looking to move up include Broughton, hosting Headley United, and Twentyten, at home to AFC Petersfield.
