WEEKEND PREVIEW - DECEMBER 21
As we wind down to Christmas, we still have a few league games this weekend.
In the Senior Division, leaders Colden Common aim to extend their lead when they play second-bottom Sway at Winchester. Of the three teams who are locked together three points behind them, Locks Heath have a tricky game at Whitehill & Bordon, and Andover Town have a home derby with unpredictable Stockbridge.
Bishops Waltham Dynamos are not far behind this trio in fifth, and they travel to Harvest who are still on a good run, despite suffering penalty shootout heartbreak in the League Cup last weekend.
There is also an attractive match at the Cockleshell between two sides currently mid-table, but capable of challenging the leaders with a good run of form, as Meon Milton host champions Liphook United.
Three games scheduled in Division One - leaders Broughton, who lost their unbeaten league record last weekend, but had that great Southampton Senior Cup win on penalties over Romsey in midweek - will be looking to get back to winning ways in the League as they host third-bottom, Whiteley Wanderers.
Broughton are still six points clear of the field, and will be happy to see fourth play third in a potential cracker as Overton United host Hedge End Town. Broughton's conquerors AFC Netley could enter the top five if they win at QK Southampton, who climbed off the bottom with a draw last week.
There are no planned fixtures over the festive season, the next games are on January 4, 2025. May we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
