WEEKEND PREVIEW - AUGUST 31

30 August 2024

Another pretty full programme this coming Saturday, with some big games in both divisions, even though we're only at the end of August.

In the Senior Division, leaders Liphook United host an important clash with fancied Colden Common, who have won their last three games and have risen to second. The two promoted sides have had an excellent start to the season and are currently level on points with Common.

RESULTS

They are both at home this weekend - Hedge End Rangers play Bishops Waltham Dynamos, and Meon Milton play Andover Town, who beat Locks Heath last time out. Locks have lost two in a row after starting with four wins and will be looking to get back on track at Harvest, who beat Liss in midweek.

Denmead have a game in hand on those above them and entertain Moneyfields Res, who have lost 4-5 and 3-6 in their last two games, so there might be some goals in this one. The bottom two (it's early days yet) clash at KGV Cosham as Paulsgrove host Liss Athletic. Two teams looking to climb the table play each other at Jubilee Field as Sway play Stockbridge.

TABLES

In Division One, the 100% record of leaders Broughton will face a severe test as they travel to undefeated third placed Upham. We can also look forward to a second v fourth clash as Crofton Saints are at home to Overton United - both sides undefeated so far.

Whiteley Wanderers, with two big home wins behind them, host Silchester Village. Two more teams new to the division must travel this weekend - Mob Albion have a tough-looking trip to AFC Netley, whereas Rushmoor Community are at QK Southampton, who have lost all four games so far.
