WEEKEND PREVIEW -AUGUST 24

23 August 2024

No midweek games this week, but a pretty full programme this coming Saturday and plenty of Senior Division matches on Bank Holiday Monday.

TABLES

On Saturday, in the Senior Division. Locks Heath will look to defend the division's only 100% record at Andover Town, who won their first game at this level but have lost the last three. Liphook United are their nearest challengers and are at home to Paulsgrove, who have won only one of their first five. With Meon Milton and Denmead not playing, Colden Common will go third if they beat another team who have only won once, Harvest. Hedge End Rangers can also move up if they continue their good start by winning at Sway. Stockbridge host Hook in what is currently a mid-table matchup, and Whitehill & Bordon entertain Bishops Waltham Dynamos.

Depending on results at the weekend, Monday sees a potential cracker at Oakwood Park as Colden Common are at home to Locks Heath. Meon Milton and Denmead, both in the leading pack, are in action at home to Moneyfields Res and away to Stockbridge respectively. Liphook United have another home game, this time against Hook. The other games promise to be close affairs, as Sway play Paulsgrove, Whitehill & Bordon host Hedge End Rangers, and, on Tuesday, Harvest play Liss Athletic, who managed to win their first game at the fifth attempt last weekend.

FIXTURES

In Division One, Broughton, the only team to have won their first three games, travel to new boys Mob Albion, who won their first game last weekend. Teams still unbeaten, all with seven points from three games, are in action: two of them play each other in an interesting-looking match at Ray's Farm as Upham entertain Overton United, Crofton Saints are at home to Headley United, AFC Netley travel to Twentyten, without a point so far.

RESULTS

Whiteley Wanderers got off the mark with a big win last weekend and are at home to new boys Rushmoor Community, who suffered their first defeat last weekend. Hedge End Town, who suffered a heavy defeat last time out, will be looking to get back on track at relegated Hayling United, who haven't won in the three games they've played. QK Southampton will looking to improve on a run of three heavy defeats as they entertain new boys Silchester Village.
