WEEKEND PREVIEW - 30 AUGUST
After a busy Bank Holiday weekend, we have a pretty full set of league fixtures coming up before the cup games kick in at the start of next month.
In the Senior Division, leaders Locks Heath, the only team with a 100% record, have a home clash with Whitehill & Bordon, who had a good win at Broughton last time out. This is due to be played at 1400 at KGV Cosham.
Crofton Saints are second and still unbeaten, they host Hedge End Rangers. Denmead are also still unbeaten and didn't play last weekend; they host bottom club Andover Town who have lost all their games so far, but made it hard for AFC Shirley in their last game.
Talking of Shirley, they went into fourth with that win, and have an attractive home clash with sixth-placed Bishops Waltham Dynamos this time out.
We have our first A3 derby of the season as Liphook United bid to end a run of three successive defeats when they host fifth-placed Liss Athletic. We have a meeting at the Cockleshell of two mid-table teams who have already shown promise this season so are looking to move up the table as Meon Milton play Hook.
Two teams looking to get back on track after recent defeats meet at Broughton as the home side entertain Southsea Sports, and two teams near the bottom play each other as Moneyfields Res are at home to Stockbridge.
In Division One we have only two teams with 100% records, they are both on their travels this weekend - Overton United are at Headley United and Nursling & Shirley are at Whiteley Wanderers.
Sway are also undefeated after two games and they host Rushmoor Community. Paulsgrove have lost their two opening games and they travel to BTC Southampton in an interesting match-up - there were two divisions between the teams last season.
Hedge End Town are in action for the first time this season and they host Mob Albion. AFC Netley are at home to Twentyten, who had an excellent win at Hayling United last time out.
