WEEKEND PREVIEW - 23 AUGUST

21 August 2025

A Bank Holiday weekend of football to come, and there are games on both the Saturday and the Monday (and even one on Tuesday) in the Senior Division.

Leaders Denmead are not in action, so the two other unbeaten teams have a chance to overtake them in the table if they win, but neither have easy games.

Locks Heath have a 100% record and have a trip to Broughton on Saturday. Crofton Saints have a home game against Hook on Monday.

Hook also must travel on Saturday; they play at Liphook United. AFC Shirley are doing well and have two games at the weekend, they travel to Whitehill & Bordon on Saturday (who got their first win of the season last weekend), and are then at home to Andover Town, who have lost all three of their games so far, on Monday.

Also on Saturday, Stockbridge will be looking for their first points of the season when they host Hedge End Rangers.

Other games on Monday include Broughton at home to Whitehill & Bordon, Liphook United hosting Meon Milton, and Stockbridge against Bishops Waltham Dynamos, who will be looking to break a run of two defeats on the trot.

The game on Tuesday sees Southsea Sports, who have won their last two, at home to Liss Athletic.

Division One only has games on the Saturday.

Overton United won well at Whiteley last Saturday and this time travel to Paulsgrove, who lost at Nursling & Shirley last weekend on their return to this division.

Nursling & Shirley host Rushmoor Community. BTC Southampton celebrated their first game in this league with a win, this weekend they are at home to Silchester Village. The other relegated team, Sway, got a decent point last week at Silchester and this time host Mob Albion.

Hayling United will be looking to improve on last weekend's defeat at AFC Netley as they entertain Twentyten, and Headley United play their first game of the season as they travel to Whiteley Wanderers.
