WEEKEND PREVIEW - OCT 7

Oct 05, 2023

Liphook United look to continue their lead at the top of the Senior Division with a home game against Moneyfields Reserves.

The teams behind them have some tricky fixtures; second-placed Denmead travel to Whitehill & Bordon, Locks Heath travel to Harvest - which sees fifth face third.

COMING-UP - FIXTURES

Fourth-placed Infinity are at home to Liss Athletic, who have just dropped out of the top five, and Stockbridge head to Paulsgrove.

Colden Common, fresh from their Hampshire Trophy victory on the IOW, host Sway in what is currently a mid-table match. Bishops Waltham Swifts will be looking to climb out of the bottom two with a home game against Hayling United, who had that good win at Liss last weekend.

In Division One, Hedge End Town are in cup action, so Meon Milton will be hoping to overtake them - but they have a difficult task as they travel to unbeaten QK Southampton in the standout match in this division.

TABLES

Behind them, Hedge End Rangers (home to Lyndhurst, unbeaten in their last three league games); Headley United (away to Michelmersh & Timsbury), and the only team with a 100% record, Whiteley Wanderers (home to Overton United) will all be looking for wins to put pressure on the top two.

The bottom two face mid-table teams - Twentyten go to AFC Netley, and Broughton host Upham.

We also see the first game in this season's George Mason Memorial Shield - it's an interesting one as Fleet Spurs, bottom of the Senior Division, are at home to Hedge End Town, leaders of Division One.

Finally, Hook travel to Wessex League side, Romsey Town in the North Hampshire Senior Cup.
