WEEKEND PREVIEW - MARCH 22

20 March 2025

This Saturday there is a semi-final of the uhlsport Hampshire Premier League Cup, an interesting Senior Division clash at the BOSC as Whitehill & Bordon host leaders Colden Common.

The hosts are third-bottom but have many games still to play thanks to their cup exploits this season.

RESULTS

The Senior Division sees a chance for teams just below the top two, who are not in league action, to catch up as they all play mid-table sides. Bishops Waltham Dynamos could move into second if they win at home to out-of-form Liphook United.

Hedge End Rangers are only two points behind them and travel to unpredictable Stockbridge.

TABLES

Andover Town are level with Rangers with games in hand and play at Harvest. Liss Athletic have the most games still to play of the chasing teams but have a tough task at the weekend as they are at Hook, who are just below them. Denmead host Meon Milton in a battle of two mid-table sides.

In Division One leaders Broughton host sixth-placed Silchester Village, a team they play again in a fortnight. Good news for them is that two of their closest rivals play each other at the Norman Rodaway, it's third versus second as Hedge End Town host Overton United.

Crofton Saints are fourth, but have a number of games in hand due to their cup success, and they have an interesting home game against Hayling United, six wins in a row and just a place behind them.

FIXTURES

At the bottom there is a big game at the Hive as third-last QK Southampton play bottom club Twentyten. Whiteley Wanderers lie between these two and need to start winning as they are running out of games; they are currently on an eleven-match winless run, despite several draws.

A trip to Rushmoor Community won't be easy for them. Headley United are currently fourth from last but have games in hand, this weekend they visit an out-of-form, Upham.
