WEEKEND PREVIEW - JANUARY 14

Jan 13, 2023

An almost full League programme this weekend, weather permitting.

UPDATE: As of Friday lunch time, we have lost a few games due to waterlogged pitches - to check the games which are still ON, please visit our Fixtures page.

The one cup match sees Meon Milton take on Hartley Wintney U23's in the Hampshire Saturday Trophy, having beaten Eversley & California Reserves in the previous round last Saturday.

In the Senior Division, leaders Andover New Street Swifts travel to bottom club, Winchester Castle, who carry games in hand on those sides immediately above them.

Hot on their heels are Stockbridge, who have a tricky trip to Paulsgrove - the hosts staging a great comeback to beat Sway 6-5 last weekend.

Third-placed Locks Heath, who will be looking to bounce back from their heavy cup defeat, also have a difficult task, facing Denmead on the 3G at Front Lawn.

Harvest went into fourth place last weekend and have a difficult game, too, at sixth-placed Clanfield, in an early-evening 6.15pm kick-off at the Draper Tools Community Stadium.

Colden Common, in fifth, also travel to Liphook United (Update: OFF). The remaining games involve teams near the bottom hosting mid-table teams: Hayling United visit Whitehill and Bordon in a reversed fixture; Moneyfields Res play Liss Athletic (also reversed to Newman Collard), and Overton United face Sway.

In Division One, leaders Infinity travel to AFC Petersfield (Update: OFF). Closest challengers Hook travel to bottom club Michelmersh & Timsbury.

As for teams just behind them, Twentyten play at second-bottom Lyndhurst, and AFC Netley visit Headley United.

Upham's fixture with third-bottom Whiteley Wanderers, and Hedge End Town versus Broughton were both postponed on Friday afternoon.
