WEEKEND PREVIEW - JAN 28

Jan 26, 2023

With the frosty nights over (for now), hopes are for a fuller set of games to be played at the weekend, all in the league this time.

In the Senior Division, it's leaders Andover NS Swifts' turn to be without a game this weekend, so Stockbridge will be hoping to draw level on points again with them if they beat Moneyfields Reserves in a game reversed to Stockbridge.

Locks Heath and Colden Common will hoping to be keeping up the pressure on the top two with games at home to Liphook United and QK Southampton respectively (*Colden Common switched to Fleming Park).

COMING-UP - FIXTURES

Teams also involved in the race for the top five include Clanfield (away at second-bottom Hayling United), Whitehill and Bordon, home to Winchester Castle, and Denmead, home to Paulsgrove.

The Grove and Castle pulled away from the nether regions of the table after vital wins last Saturday. Bottom club Overton are at home to fifth-placed Harvest, and Liss Athletic host Sway in a mid-table clash.

LEAGUE TABLES

In Division One, leaders Infinity have the weekend off, so Hook have a chance to make ground in second, if they can win a tricky-looking game at Broughton.

Below them Twentyten are at bottom placed Michelmersh and Timsbury, and fifth play fourth as Upham host Headley United.

AFC Netley also have games in hand, and they are at home to second-bottom Lyndhurst. Hedge End Town travel to AFC Petersfield - a fixture that has been switched to the 3G at The Petersfield School.
