WEEKEND PREVIEW - DEC 17

Dec 15, 2022

The last round of fixtures for 2022, and we're expecting it to be hit by cold snap, so please do check with the home club if you are planning to travel.

Games currently ON can be viewed HERE

In the Senior Division, the top two, separated by goal difference, are in action against the bottom two. Andover New Street Swifts are at home to Overton United, and Stockbridge visit Winchester Castle.

Fourth-placed Colden Common will be hoping to make up ground on the top three as they travel to Liss Athletic (pictured, in green), as will sixth-placed Clanfield, as they make the journey to Paulsgrove. Hayling Athletic host in-form Sway, and Whitehill and Bordon have a local clash with Liphook United.

In Division One, leaders Infinity are in cup action, so second-placed Hook will be hoping to reduce the ten-point gap at the top with a home game aganst Broughton.

Twentyten are now third and they will be hoping to consolidate their position with a tricky trip to Headley United. Teams in mid-table but with a couple of games in hand looking to move up are Upham, who play at bottom team Michelmersh & Timsbury, and Hedge End Town, home to AFC Petersfield. And it's second-bottom versus third-bottom as Lyndhurst play Whiteley Wanderers.

TABLES

In the League Cup, we have the remaining two quarter-finals, one an all-Senior Division clash as Locks Heath are at home to Harvest, and the other sees a chance of an upset as Division One leaders Infinity host Senior Division Moneyfields Res.

In the Hampshire Saturday Trophy, one that was left over is due to be played on Saturday, as Meon Milton travel to Eversley and California Reserves.

In the George Mason Memorial Shield, there is an attractive-looking fixture at Front Lawn as Denmead (pictured, in blue) of the Senior Division entertain AFC Netley, going well in Division One and conquerors of Clanfeld (on penalties, also on 3G) in the previous round.
