WEEKEND PREVIEW - 24 JANUARY
Again a weekend of some important cup games and a fair number of league games scheduled. However, there are a lot of wet pitches around.
The Hampshire Saturday Trophy sees yet another attempt to play the match between Folland Sports 'A' and Andover Town.
The uhlsport League Cup has a big game as Crofton Saints, second in the Senior Division, host AFC Netley, second in Division One.
The George Mason Memorial Trophy sees an all-Division One clash, as third-placed BTC Southampton are at home to Twentyten.
In the Senior Division leaders Locks Heath have a tricky trip to Denmead, who sit in seventh. AFC Shirley could go second if they win at Southsea Sports. Moneyfields Reserves could go fourth if they continue their excellent run; they entertain Whitehill & Bordon at the JJ.
With bottom club Andover Town in cup action, the three teams just above them could widen the gap further with good results this weekend, and all three are separated by just one point.
They all play sides who are in mid-table: second-bottom Liphook United are at Bishops Waltham Dynamos, Stockbridge travel to Broughton, and Meon Milton are at home to Liss Athletic.
In Division One, leaders Overton United could go clear at the top with a result at home to Sway, who are in good form, having moved into sixth by winning four out of five. Fourth play fifth at the NormRod with Hedge End Town hosting Silchester Village, the winner will go third.
Lower down the table, the bottom two meet again with this time Headley United the home team this time against last-placed Paulsgrove, having won 3-1 there last weekend. Just above them, Mob Albion have a difficult task against Whiteley Wanderers, who have won four out of their last five.
Hayling United have lost their last four league games and have a trip to Nursling & Shirley, who have only played three times since the end of November and lost them all.
