STALLIONS CLAIM HAMPSHIRE TROPHY

Apr 02, 2023

A Hampshire Premier League name proudly adorns the Hampshire Trophy for 2022/23, after Colden Colden beat Yateley United 2-1 at Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday evening.

The Stallions had to do it the hard way - coming from behind with a goal in either half from captain, Aaron Blaxall and then Leon Course, to secure the silverware. They were also indebted to goalkeeper, Jon Webb, who saved an early penalty prior to Yateley going ahead.

Our congratulations to Colden Common on their achievement, in a competition that saw three of our Senior Division sides reach the quarter-final stage - both Denmead and then Clanfield ousted by Common en route to their final success.

It's exciting times for Connor Doswell and Nathan Morgan's side - the Senior Division champions are in the hunt for back-to-back titles, currently perched at the top of the table once more - with their re-scheduled L4 Teamwear League Cup semi-final against Moneyfields Reserves taking place at Fareham Town on Wednesday evening (April 5), for the right to face Locks Heath at Winchester City on April 29.
