STALLIONS ACHIEVE TREBLE

May 20, 2023

Colden Common completed a remarkable treble as their swept away opponents, Whitehill & Bordon at Oakwood Park on Saturday.

The Stallions had already secured the Hampshire Trophy and L4 Teamwear League Cup - but four second half goals without reply ensured Connor Doswell and Nathan Morgan's men achieved back-to-back Senior Division titles - repeating their feat of 2008/09 and 09/10.

This time, they did it with two to spare - surpassing their points tally (69) from 2021/22, with one more win (23) and two fewer defeats (5), while smashing 95 goals from their 30 games played, compared to 83 the previous term.

Elsewhere, Liss Athletic concluded their season with an impressive win at Stockbridge by four goals to nil - a third victory from their last four for Mark Glazier's side.

Moneyfields Reserves showed no mercy against a beleaguered Sway - a 12-0 romp for the hosts at Westleigh Park - including hat-tricks for both Max Allen and Will Porter; while Denmead claimed the three points against Liphook United, with a 3-0 victory at Front Lawn.

Just six Senior Division fixtures remain - with games to be played on Tuesday (23rd) and Saturday (27th).
