PAR002_123 • Jun 12, 2022

The Hampshire Premier League has a new-look heading into 2022/23, after its constitution was approved at the AGM on Sunday (June 12).

A seventeen-team Senior Division welcomes four promoted sides from Division One in North champions, Andover New Street Swifts and runners-up, Whitehill & Bordon, alongside South East champions, QK Southampton, and runners-up, Harvest.

Fleetlands meanwhile - who finished third in 21/22 - had their promotion to the Wessex League already rubber-stamped.

UPDATE: 06/07/22 - Chamberlayne Athletic have withdrawn

The second-tier reverts back to a single, more uniform, County-wide Division - with Chamberlayne Athletic and Lyndhurst relegated from the Senior.

Hedge End Town are newcomers to Division One from the Southampton League, while Infinity return to the HPFL following their withdrawal from the Wessex League in 2021/22.

Last season's basement side, AFC Netley are reprieved in a 15-team Division. North Waltham, Silchester Village, Kingsclere and South Wonston Swifts have all withdrawn.

Prize money was awarded to 21/22 champions, Colden Common (£250) and runners-up Denmead (£150), with our Division One champions and runners-up collecting £150 and £100 respectively.

The Senior Division will kick-off on Saturday, August 6, with midweek fixtures to follow for the next fortnight.

Division One starts seven days later on Saturday, August 13, with both Leagues to conclude by the absolute latest of May 31, 2023.

All fixture information will be provided to clubs solely via the FA's Full-Time system (*duplicated on HPFL.co.uk), with details to follow in due course.

Meanwhile the L4 Supplementary Cup has been re-named to the George Mason Memorial Shield, in honour of our former President. Our sponsors, L4 Teamwear's name will now adorn the League Challenge Cup.
