WEEKEND PREVIEW - SEPT 3

Sep 02, 2022

It's another jam-packed weekend of League action, before the L4 League Cup makes its first appearance.

In the Senior Division, Clanfield (pictured) versus Locks Heath at the Draper Tools Community Stadium looks the pick of the bunch - both teams undefeated with four wins out of five.

The other two teams with similar records have winnable, but tricky games - leaders Stockbridge travel to QK Southampton, and Denmead entertain Whitehill and Bordon.

Residing champions Colden Common are second and also well in the mix, despite one defeat, and are at home to Sway.

Moneyfields Reserves have shipped six in two of their away games so far, and will be hoping to improve on that when they visit Hayling United. Improving Liphook United have a challenge as they host Harvest.

At the foot of the table, Overton United will be looking to make home comforts count against managerless Paulsgrove, while fourth-bottom Liss Athletic will be looking to build on their Bank Holiday victory at Grove, as they welcome Winchester Castle to Newman Collard.

In Division One, match of the day has to be leaders AFC Netley, who host Hook at Station Road - the visitors notching three away victories on the spin.

Upham will be seeking to make up for Monday's first defeat with a trip to AFC Petersfield, and Infinity will be looking to continue their challenge with a home game against Twentyten.

Bottom club Clarendon have a difficult-looking trip to Hedge End Town, but there are home games for the two teams just above them, with Whiteley Wanderers looking to get their first points of the season against Headley United, and Michelmersh and Timsbury hosting Meon Milton. Finally, Broughton will be looking to get back on track with a home game against Lyndhurst.
