WEEKEND PREVIEW - SEPT 17

Attentions turn to the cup competitions this weekend, with Colden Common (pictured, in red) kicking things off, as they visit Hedge End Rangers under the lights at Deer Park on Friday evening.


On Saturday, both QK Southampton and Sway have home ties against Southampton League opposition - St.Francis and Durley respectively. Travelling to Southampton League clubs are Lyndhurst (at Comrades) and Hedge End Town (at Sporting Wessex).There is an interesting all-HPFL tie too, as Upham host Stockbridge. and an all-Division One clash as AFC Netley host Michelmersh and Timsbury.


SOUTHAMPTON SENIOR CUP DRAW


In the Senior Division, Locks Heath have a chance to overtake Stockbridge at the top if they beat Winchester Castle at the Rec.


Harvest at home to Andover New Street Swifts is a match-up between two teams who have made a good start to the season.


Denmead - who are continuing their prominence from last season - visit Hayling United, while Lee Blakely takes his progressing side to bottom team Overton United, who suffered narrow midweek defeat to front-runners, Stockbridge.


Finally, we have two matches where local pride is at stake: the A3 derby between Liss Athletic and Liphook United at Newman Collard, while Paulsgrove welcome Moneyfields Reserves to Marsden Road.


In Division One, Infinity look to take over at the top as Upham are in cup action - they travel to fifth-placed Broughton.


Hook could also take over at the top if Infinity slip up, as they host Headley United. Whiteley Wanderers look to gain their first win of the season as they hosts Twentyten
