WEEKEND PREVIEW - OCTOBER 18

17 October 2025

After all the cup action recently, it's a full league programme this weekend and some interesting games coming up.....

In the Senior Division, leaders AFC Shirley have a swift return to fourth-placed Hook, where they won on penalties in the League Cup last weekend, so they know a tough match is in prospect.

Locks Heath are two points behind them with three games in hand and they also have a tricky task as they host fifth-placed Liss Athletic, now back to form after a rough patch. Denmead are sixth after a dip in form but they came through a difficult trip to Hedge End Town last weekend; however, they have no easier a task this time out at Bishops Waltham Dynamos.

Hedge End Rangers are the team in form, seven wins in a row, scoring 32 goals on the way, and they have a home game against second-bottom Stockbridge to look forward to. Bottom club Andover Town beat Stockbridge 5-4 in the cup last weekend and they are at home again, this time against Moneyfields Res, who are only four places above them.

An important bottom-four clash sees Liphook United host Southsea Sports, and there is a mid-table clash at the Daly as Whitehill and Bordon play Meon Milton.

In Division One there is a big clash at Overton as the hosts put their 100% record to the test as they entertain Silchester Village, who are in third. It's also second v fourth as AFC Netley host BTC Southampton, both teams fresh from good cup wins.

Nursling & Shirley have faltered recently after a good start and they will be looking to get back on track at home to Sway. Hedge End Town have games in hand and will be looking to start climbing the table as they host third-bottom Whiteley Wanderers. We have a bottom-four clash as Twentyten are at home to Headley United.

Bottom club Paulsgrove travel to Rushmoor Community, and two sides who are currently in mid-table face each other as Mob Albion host Hayling United. Both had good cup wins last weekend.
