Our HPFL sides claimed three trophies over the weekend in the League Cup Finals Day and Aldershot Intermermediate Cup.

Division One runners-up Crofton Saints (main photo, courtesy Steve Ross) caused a cupset in beating Senior Division champions, Colden Common in the uhlsport League Cup final - the second of two finals played out in the May sunshine at AFC Portchester.

Saints led via a penalty before adding a second prior to the interval, before Colden were reduced to ten early in the second half, but Crofton held out after Colden were reduced to ten following a sending-off.

Crofton could well make it a cup double success on Tuesday evening (13th) in the Hampshire FA Trophy, as they take on Tadley Calleva Reserves at AFC Stoneham (7.45pm).

The George Mason Memorial Shield that preceded also saw two late red cards for Denmead, but it didn't impact the outcome, as Liss Athletic claimed their first silverware since 2015/16, recovering from an early defecit to run out 4-1 winners (Photo: Simon Jasinski)

Meanwhile, there was an all-HPFL clash in the final of the Aldershot Mark Coombs Intermediate Cup final, played at Aldershot Town's EBB Stadium with Senior Division side, Whitehill & Bordon prevailing on penalties against Division One opponents, Rushmoor Community following a 2-2 draw in normal time (Photo: Whitehill & Bordon FC)

Out congratulations to all the winners and we extend our thanks to AFC Portchester for their hospitality and support in hosting our cup finals day.
