Small Projects Grant Applications Open 1st December

Paul Proctor • 1 November 2026

Painting, New Showers, Help with Drainage, Cover for Spectators, Dug Outs

These were just some of the plans that saw grants successfully applied for last season.

This season's is bigger and better!

The HPFL Committee has set aside a fund of £7500 to assist HPFL clubs with ground improvements. The improvements must be the responsibility of the clubs, and not a third party such as a Council or landlord.

To receive the grant, the club must remain in the League for the 2027/28 season. The grant will need to be repaid if the club withdraws during the 2027/28 season.

A maximum of £750 grant per project will be considered with the actual grant given not being more than 75% of the total project cost. For example, if a project has a total cost of £400, then, if the application is successful, a grant of £300 would be given. If a project has a total cost of £1000, then, if the application is successful, the maximum grant of £750 would be given.

Applications detailing the work required together with a quotation showing the cost of the work are invited to be made by 31/05/27 to the HPFL sub-committee for small project grants who will select the most appropriate applications to utilise the fund. Only one grant per club will be given. Clubs must be in good standing, with all league debts fully settled.

The work will need to be completed before any payment is made. Clubs will need to advise the HPFL sub-committee once the work is completed and forward invoices. The payment will need to be made by the HPFL by 31/12/27. Members of the sub-committee cannot have any association with the clubs submitting the applications.

If you would like to submit a small project grant application, then please provide full details to the League Secretary at hpl-competitionssecretary@outlook.com
