ROUND-UP - JANUARY 8

Stockbridge produced a late, late show to see off Sway and progress into the Hampshire Intermediate Cup quarter-finals.

It was one of only a handful of fixtures that beat the torrential downpour on Saturday - Reece Daly giving the hosts the edge in the first minute of added time, before James Carrier netted three minutes later to see Stockbridge through 3-1.

In the Senior Division, Locks Heath consolidated their third place with a narrow 4-3 win at Clanfield at Westleigh Park.

Locks were 3-0 up, an improved Clan side equalised but fell to a late goal from Stone.

Fleetlands moved into fifth place with a 5-1 win against Overton United at Bay House School, and the only non-3G game in the division saw the seemingly indestructible Paulsgrove surface witness a 0-3 defeat for the homesters against Hayling United, who remain one place above the Grove in seventh.

In Division 1 North, the only game saw Twentyten lose 2-4 on their 3G to North Waltham, who now draw level on points with them, but stay seventh on goal difference.

In Division 1 South East, there were three games on. QK Southampton played in the league for the first time since the end of November, and they won 4-2 on the 3G at Norman Court School, this afternoon’s home of Clarendon.

Third placed Harvest maintained their placing after a 3-2 win at home to AFC Petersfield, and Whiteley Wanderers are still chasing them in fourth after a 6-1 win at Broughton.
